Reading Hospital—Tower Health
Reading Health System includes Reading Hospital, a 647-bed acute care hospital located in West Reading, Pennsylvania, and Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a facility in Spring Township, featuring a 50-bed skilled nursing unit and a 62-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. We also provide office-based primary and specialty care through Reading Health Physician Network, in-home nursing care through Affilia Home Health, and retirement living through The Highlands at Wyomissing. An extensive network of outpatient services is provided through offices and QuickCare walk-in centers throughout the region.
Accredited continuously since 2005, Reading Hospital Trauma Center is the first and only trauma center in Berks County. Our trauma surgeons are on-site 24/7, with teams of specialists in neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, anesthesiology, radiology, emergency medicine, and more. State-of-the-art resuscitation trauma bays allow the trauma team to quickly respond to multiple critically injured patients at the same time. Also, as a member of the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS) Trauma Network we have expansive resources, superior clinical leadership, as well as a partnership with PennSTAR. This partnership allows for immediate access to air transport with a helicopter housed on our rooftop helipad.
